A special thanks to all of those who put in extra hours during the tournaments and helped to organize things. We did forget to let Mother Nature know of our plans this year. Put that on the check list for next year!

Our year end banquet is set for Feb 24th. Mark the date! Don't forget this is RSVP! Invites will be going out within a few weeks.

Needed 1 boy's and 1 girl's parent to help with each of the Soccer Tournaments and 'learn the ropes'. Most of the work is done, now it's a matter of co ordinating the labor, concession and money aspects. These are major fundraisers for us and we collect the gate fees from these events. HELP!
Contact loriwebster8911@msn.com or your team rep

Please check the concession page
If you have not signed up for 2 shifts (per child),
contact your team rep (listed below).
They will help with your concession assignments
and collect your $50 uniform fee. These things
go a long way toward maintaining our soccer program

Grab a friend and agree to head a committee or organize fundraising!
The more volunteers we have, the fewer hours are involved for all!

Nearly half of the existing board is comprised of Senior parents
- once they are gone- their knowledge goes with them. Jump on board to learn the ropes now!     We are also looking for a volunteer to take over the website. This is a very easy, computer based program. Nothing to add to your system at home. Email Lori Webster for details.

Check out our new Paver Fundraiser on the forms page!

WHAT IS A BOOSTER?
The boosters of Sailor Soccer play a vital role in raising money to suppliment the school funding of the soccer program. We provide college scholarships, equipment, team meals for  district games, trainers for tournaments as well as paying for part of the coaching staff. Several fundraisers are planned each season and parents and players staff these events.
Past boosters have raised funds to light the fields and make field improvements. Our current goal is to put a permanent structure on the site to house the concession, player changing room and restrooms. Currently, $70,000. is available for this project and bids are in the works.
Please contact Lori Webster at
loriwebster8911@msn.com if you have questions and can be an active Booster this year.

**IMPORTANT NOTE -2009 will be the last year for several active members who will be 'retiring'.
This is your last opportunity to ‘learn the ropes’ before they leave.

BUILDING PROJECT

As many of you know, the Sarasota Sailor Soccer Boosters
and other volunteers have been making collective efforts
to complete our most ambitious project yet! Plans are
being drawn up by Pillot Architcure for a
locker room,
restroom and concession building
.
There is still much work to be done on this project but it
can be achieved with a little help. Here are some quick facts about the project:
At this point, we have raised approximately $90,000.
Several local contractors have stepped forward to donate labor
or materials toward the building. These donatations will decrease
our overall costs. We are still in need of heavy equipment
companies, a roofing  contractor/ supplier, resturant equipment
supplier and others  to help us offset the costs involved with
construction. If you are interested in helping the boosters in
any way, either with the building project, volunteering or with
fund raising ideas, please contact Lori Webster at 371-0178

The Building Includes:

Men and Women’s Locker Rooms
Permanent Concession Stand
Permanent Restroom Facilities
Coaches Offices
